Colfe's offers an impressive range of academic opportunities for our Year 12 and 13 students. There is a wide choice of academic subjects from which students may select their A levels. This includes traditional disciplines such as Chemistry, History and Maths as well as newer subjects like Media Studies, Psychology and Politics.

We construct the Sixth Form timetable around the choices made by individual students, and do our best to enable all to study their preferred combination of subjects. However, we cannot guarantee that all permutations will be possible. In Year 12 students study 4 ‘AS’ subjects. In Year 13 they may continue with all 4 subjects to gain 4 A levels or drop one subject so they gain 3 A levels with one AS.

Students or parents concerned about which subjects to choose may be interested to read a BBC article about non-traditional ‘A’ levels Click here.  A more up to date, but slightly less informative article concerning ‘A’ levels Click here.
