At Colfe’s we offer Core and Additional Science as well as Single Sciences, where pupils gain three separate GCSEs. Just under half of our students follow the Separate Science course with the remainder studying both Core and Additional Science. This allows us to cater for a greater ability range and allows every student to develop and be challenged at this level of their education.
Both GCSE options allow progression to AS and A2 level Chemistry where the department is noted for its excellent teaching and ability to tailor the program to fit pupils’ needs. This is achieved by our excellent student-teacher ratio and our ‘open house’ approach to student support outside of lesson time.
